1. Soppy : A Love Story by Phillippa Rice (provided by Netgalley)
2. House of Leaves by Mark Z. Danielewski
3. Ed Undead: The Chronicles of a Teenage Zombie by Edward Kent (provided by Netgalley)

Soppy was the cutest thing in life. It was very short and sweet. The illustrations were awesome and I loved that it was based on real events!

The House of Leaves messed with my head so much, but at the same time I felt so addicted to it. I was soooo intrigued by this story within a story. Really glad that I picked it up because it is so different and nothing like any of books that I have read.

Ed Undead reminded me a lot of Warm Bodies, but in a good way. I really enjoyed it! (love me some zombies)

I will most definitely be talking about these books in more detail at the end of this read-a-thon (stay tuned.)

I suck at updating this week. I also suck at reading this week. As much as I am happy about finishing the three of those books, I don’t feel very accomplished. I think that all of my studying has gotten to me because i’m feeling too brain dead to read lately (and blog). BUT today I finished my last midterm, so it is TIME to get BACK INTO READING!

If anyone has a little extra reading motivation, feel free to share 😉

readathonAnother read-a-thon is upon us! The Wonderfully Wicked Read-a-Thon is hosted by My Shelf Confessions. Make sure you head over there to get all the details!

So I’m going a little all out for my TBR. I would love to finish at least five books, which is one book every two days. So here are the books I would like to read.
1. Chosen at Nightfall by C.C. Hunter. I am already 49% into this one so it shouldn’t take me long to finish this one.
2. Storm Siren by Mary Weber. I’m already a few chapters into this one as well and it seems so interesting, I can’t wait to get more into it.
3. The Swallow by Charis Cotter.
4. Killers of the Dawn by Darren Shan.
5. The Death Cure by James Dashner.
6. Frozen by Melissa De La Cruz & Michael Johnston.

I’m being very ambitious with this TBR but if I don’t meet my goals then no big deal! Now, off to get some reading done!

“The  Wonderfully Wicked Read-A-Thon is a time when we all get together to dedicate the days of October 17-27 to as much reading as possible. You read as much as you can in order to get yourself a little further through that huge to-read pile! We know real life gets in the way and even if you can’t participate more than one day, you’re welcome to join in on the fun!

In the meanwhile, we will be hosting book-related challenges where you can win some awesome prizes and have a Twitter party at the hashtag #WWReadathon! You can posts updates on your blog, Twitter, Goodreads, Facebook or even YouTube — as long as the profile is public and we all can enjoy your reading progress! Make sure to link to the site where you’ll be sharing your posts/updates with us.”

1. The House of Leaves by Mark Z. Danielewski – 141 pages left to read
2. Ed Undead : The Chronicles of a Teenage Zombie – 280 pages
3. Soppy : A Love Story by Philippa Rice – 108 pages
4. The Merciless by Danielle Vega – 279 pages

And if i have time :
5. Chosen at Nightfall (Shadow Falls #5) by C.C Hunter – 400 pages

I would be super happy to finish all 5 of these books in the next 10 days (which would be 1207 pages in total.) Unfortunately I won’t have time to sit home and read all week… I have one more midterm to write, I have to work and I have a Halloween party to host. I AM GOING TO DO MY BEST AND READ AS MUCH AS I CAN!!!
I will be doing some random read-a-thon update posts, but I’m not going to promise to do them every single day.

Let me know if you are participating in this read-a-thon in the comments below 🙂

1. Anna and the French kiss by Stephanie Perkins ★★★★
This was the perfect read for a read-a-thon, I loved every minute of it. It really was a “feel good” book.

2. Spirit bound by Richelle Mead ★★★★
I admit that it took me a while to get into this book, but it was so good once I did! I was so happy to get back into the vampire academy world and read more about the awesome characters.

3. The Last Sacrifice by Richelle Mead ★★★★★
Favorite book of the read-a-thon! This was amazing! An amazing last book of the series. I loved it.

Unfortunately I didn’t finish Opal by Jennifer Armentrout, but I am almost finished with it now. I am sorry for the lack of updates and lack of reading towards the end of the read-a-thon. The Last Sacrifice was so good – it put me in a bit of a reading slump. I also had a lot going on at work and less time on my hands. However, I am still content with finishing those three books. They were great reads and I CANT WAIT TO READ SOME MORE RICHELLE MEAD. I have to get my hands on her other books now.

How did you do in the BOUT OF BOOKS read-a-thon? Comment below!

I can’t even believe that the readathon is soon coming to an end. This week is absolutely flying by but at the same time it is going so slow. I finally leave for my vacation tomorrow and I am unbelievably excited.

Yesterday was an okay day of reading, didn’t get any major reading in.

Book: Opal by Jennifer L. Armentrout
Total read: 45%

Books finished so far: still at 2

It’s currently 11:00 pm so I have another hour until day five ends so I’m now going to snuggle in my bed and read some more.

Book: Spirit Bound by Richelle Mead
Total read: 12% (finished book)

Book: Last Sacrifice by Richelle Mead
Total read: 500 pages

It might have taken me a little while to get back into the vampire academy world, after not reading it for so long, but once I did it was amazing and so addicting! I love Richelle Meads writing. I love Rose, Lissa and Dimitri. I will have to pick up either Bloodlines or Succubus Blues after finishing the VA series. Which series should I read first?

Okay so it’s almost 9:00 pm and I just got home from work so I’m going to very quickly give you yesterday’s update and get right back to my reading! Hard to believe we are halfway through the readathon already!

Book: Opal by Jennifer L. Armentrout
Total read:35%

Books finished so far: 2

Still need to finish two books before the week is over to meet my goals, and I think I can, I think I can! I’m in such a great reading mood. Not to mention reading on my beautiful new Kobo Aura definitely helps!

Let me know in the comments what book you are currently reading! I’m going to get back to Opal now. Ugh, never want this series to end. I love me some Daemon that’s for sure.
